Escorts appoints Dipankar Ghosh as Head of Railway Products

Escorts Ltd. has announced the appointment of Dipankar Ghosh as the new head of Escorts Railway Products. He would be focusing on driving growth for the business and bring in vital transformations in order to achieve company objectives Announcing the appointment Rajan Nanda, Chairman, Escorts Ltd said, “We see the Indian Railways business with tremendous potential as India modernises its public transportation infrastructure. Mr. Ghosh brings with him an invaluable understanding of the functioning of Indian Railway system, which will be instrumental in developing key business strategies.” His prior experience with the Indian Railways as an Indian Railway Service Officer and a deep experience of Technology Transfer from many Railway OEMs to India, besides his two decades of varied business and industrial experience in leading multinationalcompanies, will see the launch of new initiatives to grow the business. An electrical engineer and postgraduate from BITS Pilani, he has studied management both from London School of Economics and the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.
